I Am: A Vision of Our Future
9am to 5pm @
Minnetrista Museum & Gardens
1200 North Minnetrista Parkway, Muncie, Indiana 47303
April 11–June 7, 2026
Center Building, Indiana Room
Created in partnership with Muncie Juneteenth, this powerful exhibition turns the spotlight to our community’s youth. I Am invites children to imagine themselves in the futures they dream of—scientists, artists, leaders, caregivers, and more—and captures those visions in striking portraits.
Each portrait is a declaration of identity and aspiration—because when children see themselves reflected in the world around them, it affirms that they belong. I Am is both a celebration of dreams and a call to action: the future of our community is already here—and it’s bold, brilliant, and full of promise.https://www.minnetrista.net/events/i-am-a-vision-of-our-future

An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box.
