I Am: A Vision of Our Future
9am to 5pm @
Minnetrista Museum & Gardens
1200 North Minnetrista Parkway, Muncie, Indiana 47303
April 11–June 7, 2026
Center Building, Indiana Room
Created in partnership with Muncie Juneteenth, this powerful exhibition turns the spotlight to our community’s youth. I Am invites children to imagine themselves in the futures they dream of—scientists, artists, leaders, caregivers, and more—and captures those visions in striking portraits.
Each portrait is a declaration of identity and aspiration—because when children see themselves reflected in the world around them, it affirms that they belong. I Am is both a celebration of dreams and a call to action: the future of our community is already here—and it’s bold, brilliant, and full of promise.https://www.minnetrista.net/events/i-am-a-vision-of-our-future

Come for the conversation and leave with the impact of "unjudging someone"
This FREE event offers an opportunity to learn more about diverse populations through conversations with persons who have lived experiences of stereotyping, bias, and prejudice.
At a Human Library, you borrow "A Human Book" and have a conversation about their story. You will have the opportunity to "unjudge someone," ask questions, possibly learn something new, and likely talk to someone you normally would not have the opportunity to meet otherwise. In this safe place, you have a chance to examine and explore your own perceptions.
This is an impactful opportunity to learn, explore, and embrace others in our community and daily lives. Difficult questions are expected, appreciated, and answered.
