This Tea & Talk explores the history behind two of his most celebrated sculptures, The Passing of the Buffalo and Appeal to the Great Spirit, tracing their journey to Downtown Muncie and examining their lasting impact on the community. Create a beautiful winter snow scene while learning the basics of fused glass in this easy, beginner-friendly workshop. Designed for family fun, participants will explore glass techniques and create their own unique piece of art. No prior glass experience is necessary.

Just 10 minutes a person. That’s all the time four Ball State students get to share a piece of the universe with you during this annual event. Students use planetarium visuals to present in the most creative way they can while competing for the title of ASTRONOMY SLAM CHAMPION. Come and vote live for the winner! 

A small reception will follow the event.

Introducing our weekly study group! Third World Study Group, hosted on Tuesday’s from 5-7, is a place where we can come together and engage in a collective study to develop a more holistic understanding of global politics and the people, organizations and movements that led struggles for liberation while also deepening our understanding of the role of U.S imperialism in shaping today’s world.

Join us for another session of our self defense workshop led by Brazilian Jujutsu artist Jared Loper!

Self-defense has a long legacy within left radical traditions and should be understood as necessary for collective safety and a portal towards autonomy, self-determination and liberation.

This is a free, hands-on event where attendees will be trained in basic self-defense skills and will walk away more competent and confident in their ability to defend themselves and their community.

Fifty years after the startling discovery that monarch butterflies spend winters in the forests of Mexico, photographer and National Geographic Explorer Jaime Rojo reveals this winged wonder of the insect world in new ways with never-before-seen visuals. Tag along with conservationists and citizen scientists who are helping this species avoid catastrophic threats, all through Jaime’s beautiful photos and videos.

Jaime Rojo is a photographer and a strong advocate of wilderness conservation and large-landscape connectivity. His goal is to capture images that can ultimately become tools for the creation of new protected areas. He is an International League of Conservation Photographers Senior Fellow, a trustee of the WILD Foundation, and the recipient of honors in competitions such as World Press Photo and Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
