Steel Magnolias
7:30pm to 12:42pm @
Muncie Civic Theatre
216 E. Main St.
Cost: $15 for adults, $7 for students Muncie Civic Theatre presentsSteel Magnolias on the Mainstage Theatre, September 16th-17th, 23rd-25th & 29th-October 1st. Thursday through Saturday performances are at 7:30pm and the Sunday matinee on September 25 is at 2:00pm. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for students.
A play which met with immediate critical and popular acceptance in its premier production by New York's WPA Theatre. Concerned with a group of gossipy southern ladies in a small-town beauty parlor, the play is alternately hilarious and touching - and, in the end, deeply revealing of the strength and purposefulness which underlies the antic banter of its characters.Written by Robert Harling

5:00pm to 9:00pm @
Downtown
Yart will be held in conjunction with ArtsWalk, on Thursday, October 6, from 5-9pm. This guerrilla art sale with a goal of making art affordable and accessible to the community brings together dozens of artists and art patrons each year.
Yart is still looking for artists! There is no cost to vend, and Yart does not take a cut from sales. We do want a "yard sale for art" vibe, with all prices under $40. You'll manage your own sales and need your own display. If interested, email MissMoth@gmail.com.

In the Next Room (The Vibrator Play)
8:00pm to 12:42pm @
Muncie Civic Theatre
216 E. Main St.
Cost: $10 Muncie Civic Theatre presentsIn the Next Room or The Vibrator Play in the Studio Theatre, September 23rd-24th, 30th-October 2nd & 7th-8th. Friday and Saturday performances are at 8:00pm and the Sunday matinee on October 2nd is at 2:00pm. Tickets are $10 for all ages.
In the Next Room or the vibrator play is a comedy about marriage, intimacy, and electricity. In a seemingly perfect, well-to-do Victorian home, proper gentleman and scientist Dr. Givings has innocently invented an extraordinary new device for treating “hysteria” in women (and occasionally men): the vibrator. Adjacent to the doctor’s laboratory, his young and energetic wife tries to tend to their newborn daughter—and wonders exactly what is going on in the next room. When a new “hysterical” patient and her husband bring a wet nurse and their own complicated relationship into the doctor’s home, Dr. and Mrs. Givings must examine the nature of their own marriage, and what it truly means

Trivia Brawl
9:00pm to 12:42pm @
Doc's Music Hall
215 S. Walnut St., Muncie
Every Sunday, egos are crushed and legends are born at Doc's Sunday Trivia Brawl. Come and play for free, solo or with a team, and show off your command of all knowledge trivial. Win, and split up a a $50 Doc's gift certificate on booze, food, or merchandise. Every game is six rounds of trivia questions on a wide variety of topics in pop culture, science, history, and current events. Every tenth question is part of our inadvertent quest to discriminate against the deaf, and has players listening to a song and attempting to identify its title, band, and album. The sixth round is a special visual aid round in which the blind are instead at an unfair disadvantage. Team signup starts at 9pm, and unless we go into a Sudden Death Lightning Bloodfeud Overtime Round (of Death), the game tends to wrap up at about 11pm.
