On Monday December 5th, 2011 Charles Evans (who was mis-identified as Mike Hicks by the Muncie Star Press) will be the keynote speaker at the Horizon Convention Center at a noon luncheon. Evans is the CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Rumor has it that he may be the next head of the Federal Reserve. This event affords Occupy Muncie with an unprecedented opportunity to protest the corruption of the Federal Reserve, home of corporate welfare and secret corporate bail-outs.

Celebrate Our City: Sesquicentennial Ball

Cost: $25 per attendee The Horizon Convention Center will host “Celebrate Our City: The Sesquicentennial Ball” on September 19, 2015. The black-tie optional evening will feature a dinner, dance and awards to commemorate Muncie’s celebration of 150 years and honor Muncie’s history of public service. Public service awards will be presented by Mayor Dennis Tyler, Muncie Police Chief, Steve Stewart and Muncie Fire Chief, Edward Bell.
The Sesquicentennial Ball is open to the public and will provide an opportunity to honor Muncie’s 150 years and show support for public service within our community. The cost is $25 per person ($50 per couple) and tickets are available until September 11, 2015 at the Horizon Convention Center Reception Desk or online at www.muncie.ticketleap.com. The event is from 6:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. and tickets purchased before August 14th include VIP admission at 5:30 p.m. which features an opportunity to meet the mayor and enjoy a complimentary Signature Cocktail before the event begins.

This event is in honor of Muncie and those who make this community a great place to live and work. This year’s Great Futures Dinner themed “A Night at the Circus,” will be full of circus games, thrilling performers, delicious circus fare, and a showcase of club programming. A highlight of the night will be announcing the Pat C. Botts Youth of the Year where one Club member will be recognized for their work, commitment, and support of the Muncie Community through their membership in the Boys & Girls Club.
One goal is top of mind for the evening: To raise funds needed to support the Clubs’ life-changing initiatives and programming.

He currently works in an industry that provides complex rehabilitation equipment for people to gain mobility.
