Get ready for an outdoor adventure, creativity, and discovery during Nature Play Days! Challenge yourself on our nature-themed obstacle course, featuring logs, straw bales, and other natural materials, perfect for little adventurers!

Participate in Horticulture Helpers, our volunteer opportunity for youth and families and care for the gardens, learn about plants, and make a positive impact on Minnetrista’s natural spaces (June 3 & 5; 1 p.m.).

Visit Horticulture’s booth at the Farmers Market (June 7; 9 a.m.) and let your creativity bloom with a fun nature-themed craft activity for all ages! Visit our website's events calendar to stay updated on all activities for Nature Play Days.

#YART is a Yard Sale for Art held during ArtsWalk on the First Thursday of every June and October at Canan Commons in Downtown Muncie! All Art priced under $40! The Spring 2025 Muncie YART will be from 5-8p on Thursday, June 5th during the Brink of Summer ArtsWalk! This is a HUGE event with hundreds of Artists!

YART Artist Sign Up is on May 1st on the Muncie YART Facebook page - it's FREE to all Artists! Signing up means you are IN! 

YART has a zero-dollar budget and is proof that community members working together can create an extremely successful and fun experience! Volunteers are sought for the YART Artist Set-Up from 3-5p on June 5th, show up to HELP, thank you! ♥️

Brink of Summer ArtsWalk
Muncie Downtown Development Partnership (MDDP) invites you to seek the unique during Brink of Summer ArtsWalk, June 5th, featuring Steamroller Printmaking, Flower Hour and DWNTWN IDOL, sponsored by The Community Foundation of Muncie & Delaware County. 

Tribune Showprint Posters, the nation’s oldest continuously operating letterpress shop, will be hosting Muncie’s first Steamroller Print Event in conjunction with Muncie Downtown Development. Artists from around the region are carving images into wood, however, you do not have to carve your own piece to participate. There will be a variety of carved boards to choose from, or you can make your own smaller prints from images that will be provided. 

Enjoy watching a steamroller roll over the large prints of paper and see the artists carved work come to life. “I’m so excited for this event,” says Kim Miller, owner of Tribune Showprint. “We were able to bring this event to downtown with the gracious help and partnership from Muncie Downtown Development and the Sherman and Marjorie Zeigler Foundation.” 

A kaleidoscope of color returns with Flower Hour, sponsored by Wise Country Market with flowers provided by Normandy Flower Shop. Build your bouquet as you enjoy the other activities during this event. The $20 Flower Hour tickets are available for purchase online or at the corner of Charles and Walnut Street during the event. 

Think you have the voice? Become Muncie’s next DWNTWN IDOL and Win $500 cash, a trophy, additional community performance opportunities, a photoshoot complete with makeup done by a makeup artist, an overnight stay at the Courtyard by Marriott, and bragging rights as Muncie’s top performer! Audition deadlines are May 16th for Round 1 and July 17th for Round 2. Eliminations will be during the Brink of Summer Artswalk and Fire Up DWNTWN with the finale during Fall ArtsWalk.

“Exhibition of 8 x l0 photos of Charles Gatewood”: Charles Robert Gatewood (November 8, 1942 – April 28, 2016) was an American photographer, writer, videographer, artist and educator, who lived and worked in San Francisco, California. Gatewood's documentation of alternative culture in San Francisco is unmatched. People he photographed include Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Herb Gold, Charles Henri Ford, Carol Queen, Ron Turner and Ruth Bernard. 5-8pm. We will also be tattooing flash specials.

The Muncie Artists Guild's Artist of the Month for June 2025 is Laurie Lunsford, a plein air painter, author, and illustrator of children’s books. She just completed her 16th picture book! Laurie's work will be on display at the following locations: Vera Mae's, Old National Bank, The Patterson Building, Rosebud Coffee House, and Haul N' Oats
