Lots of lawn seating, open to all, and great family entertainment — keeping tradition with the best of Independence Day tunes that American children need to hear & learn about 🎵

East Central Indiana Chamber Orchestra’s annual Spring Concert — it‘s a “take your family to the orchestra” date —  a quick cross-country hop around the USA, saluting musical theater, and the beauty of the land and the cultures in it - from best-loved American composers such as Copland, Bernstein, and Grofe.

It's the summer’s first performance of the Big Band from America’s Hometown Band. The music lineup is a primer of hugely popular swing-band tunes & the bandleaders who made them great. From the Glen Miller Band’s 1945 hit, Leap Frog, to the Dean Martin vocal chart-buster in 1954, Sway, to the fabulous Ray Charles song released in 1962, I Can’t Stop Loving You – this is some of the most-loved American music ever.

  From Muncie's own America's Hometown Band, since 1988. This free, public concert is the One – the best of USA patriotic tunes, performed LIVE and lively, to celebrate our Nation's Independence Day. Plus - a spectacular finish with Sousa's rousing march tune Stars & Stripes Forever!

Swing, Swing, Swing

       The sweet, sultry sounds of ‘Swing’  tunes are back in town — the evening of July 28, outdoors on the Ball State arts terrace lawn —  via  the Big Band musicians of America’s Hometown Band.  Free and open to all on the tree- covered quad lawn. 

  The fabulous songs of the 60's & 70's rock on in Muncie, with the coming together again of America's Hometown Band and the Reminisce Band. The scene is LIVE downtown on the Canan Commons stage. And of course with lots of audience space on the huge lawn for picnics, dancing, singing along, and just feelin' groovy again.  Free admission & open to all. 

Central Indiana Flute Choir on the job

The 11-member Central Indiana Flute Choir takes their sweet, sweet harmonies to charm & entertain at Westminster Village – a great concert date for residents and open to the public as well!   FREE ADMISSION to enjoy this delightfully different & angelic sound.     And it's cool indoors!

  Pro jazz trumpeter Larry McWilliams leads the AHB Big Band musicians in this program of lively, lovely, romantic Swing sounds - under the trees and made-in-the-shade cool.

Muncie’s own musicians - America’s Hometown Band - is performing at the  closing ceremony of the week-long 9/11 Flags of Honor project, outdoors at Minnetrista. A half-hour of live patriotic tunes by the band precedes the 6:00 pm program of fallen hero remembrances.

 “Lessons in Harmony”  brings together - Live, On-stage - the musicians of the East Central Indiana Chamber Orchestra (ECICO) and the young voices of Muncie Northside AND Muncie Southside Middle Schools.  It's a treat to see & hear these school kids creating new connections through music. 

  A special & delightful performance of holiday tunes, by the very talented flautists of the Central Indiana Flute Choir, an ensemble from America's Hometown Band of Muncie. From the tiny, highest piccolo to the very large and low-tone bass flutes - this group just sounds angelic!  Fabulous new family outing, Free Admission & Parking, and all are welcome.
