Intimate Apparel
7:30pm to 12:42pm @
Arts and Communications Building, Ball State University
Edward S. Strother Theatre
Cost: General Admission $8.50, Students $6.50 By Lynn Nottage
Directed by Dwandra Lampkin
New York City. 1905. Ester threads the needle, sews the stitch, ties off the laces-always for rich white clients, never for herself. In a boarding house, a home for women that must see past differences in order to survive, Ester receives letters from a man she's never met. Yet, at the same time Ester realizes the passion of her cloth supplier-a Hasidic Jew. When confronted with a choice, will she choose love at first sight or a love forbidden?
