CG Fantastic 5K Competitive Run/Non-competitive Walk - The 5K route is on the beautiful Cardinal Greenway and the scenic White River Greenway. Medals awarded in age groups, male and female. $20.00. Students, ANY AGE only $10.00! Children 5 and Under Free. Register by May 19 to guarantee your 5K shirt. Race begins at 8:00 a.m.

Trail Clean Up - Annual volunteer clean up of Cardinal Greenway. Everyone's invited to make our great trail look even better! Clean Up begins at 9:00 a.m. Picnic follows clean up.

Volunteer Appreciation Picnic - Old, new, and Trail Clean Up volunteers are invited to a picnic at the beautiful Historic Wysor St. Depot at 11:00 a.m. Food, fun, and music!

Muncie Downtown Development Partnership and the Muncie Parks Department will host Foodie Fridays, at Canan Commons on Fridays from 11:00am-1:00pm. 

Attendees are invited to spend their lunch time relaxing in the park with friends and family, enjoying the new park and weekly entertainment. Bring your own lunch, purchase a lunch from our on-site vendors or get lunch to go from one of our DWNTWN eateries. Some seating will be available. We will also have shady spots on the lawn for guests who would like to bring blankets or lawn chairs. 

In addition to live music entertainment each week, a children’s activity will be provided.

Canan Commons is located in the 500 block of south Walnut Street near the roundabout and across the street from the YMCA and Muncie Music Center. Street parking is available and public parking lots are located throughout DWNTWN.
