Capitalizing on the already ominous former Masonic Lodge, Son of Scarevania will leave people of all ages feeling petrified. The haunt is designed for mature audiences and parental discretion is advised. Son of Scarevania will be open in addition to Scarevania’s current location on Granville Avenue.
The haunt will serve as a new fundraiser for Cornerstone, which provides thousands of youth and adults annually with quality arts education and special events in a historic setting.

Halloween is just around the corner; this year celebrate with the entire family by attending Cornerstone Center for the Arts’ annual Community Halloween Party! Tricks and treats will be had on Thursday, October 27 from 4 to 6 p.m. as Cornerstone’s Colonnade Room is transformed into a spooky lair of fun and games.
The Community Halloween Party is open to children and families of all ages and is free to attend. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. All attendees will enjoy free activities, games, refreshments, treats, and prizes. In addition, a portion of Son of Scarevania will be open as a low-scare option for party goers. There will be a $1 admission fee per child to enter the haunted house. Adults who accompany children through the haunt will have no entrance fee.

This all new indoor haunted house features 10,000 square feet of terrifying twists and turns that will leave you screaming for your mama! Put together your spookiest…or sexiest costume for your chance to win cash prizes for best dressed! Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. with the entertainment kicking off at 8 p.m. and the party continuing until midnight.
Proceeds from the evening will go to support Cornerstone’s arts education program which provides thousands of youth and adults annually with quality arts education and special events in a historic setting. Additional support for the All Hallows Eve Bash is provided by Mr. Mouse, The Fickle Peach, WLBC, WERK, BLAKE FM, and MAX.
The All Hallows Eve Bash is for adults 18 years and older only – so leave the kids at home and have a scary good time. The spooky characters from Son of Scarevania will “Haunt the Park” to promote the opening of Cornerstone’s Haunted Attraction. The Haunting will take place from 5:00 to 7:30 pm at Cornerstone Park on the corner of Madison and Main. In addition to our special ghoulish guests, there will be themed performances by Cornerstone’s Belly Dancers and Halloween crafts for kids.

The roots of needlepoint go back thousands of years to the ancient Egyptians, who used small slanted stitches to sew up their canvas tents. Archaeologst Howard Carter, who is known for discovering King Tut's tomb, found some needlepoint in the cave of a pharaoh who had lived around 15,000 BC. Today, needlepoint offers a wide range of possibilities for self-expression. In this class, you'll learn the techniques and stitches necessary to finish the project provided in class. A painted canvas and supplies are provided.
You may register for one or both of these sessions: Pumpkin Project, Fri, Sept. 27, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 a.m.
Stitchers will complete a patchwork pumpkin that can be made into a pillow, quilted wall hanging, framed picture, or a placemat for a table. As many as six different needlepoint stitches will be taught to complete this pumpkin, with the stitcher able to choose how many different stitches will be used. This project is designed for the beginning needlepointer and comes with additional challenges for the experienced needlepointer.Christmas Tree Project, Fri., Oct. 25, 9:30a.m-12:30p.m.
