Huge heated tents will house all of your favorite bars and some of our favorite active entertainment. The weather is not an obstacle this year; there will be tons of places to get out of the cold and grab a cold one! The mechanical bull is back, the go-go cage, dance party tent, FM Music outdoor stage, Bessie the beer giving cow, belly dancers, drag show, lingerie show, sizzling hot male revue, and tons of live entertainment indoors and out to keep you in the party mood throughout the evening!
Get started on your costume NOW! Costumed revelers can compete two ways this year: first for the best Mardi Gras costume, mask or headpiece and a second contest for the most eco-friendly costume! This one will be judged on most stylish use for recycled materials. $100 first prize and fabulous goodies!
Bring your beads, or buy them here. Either way, get ready to "Throw me something Mister!"
MITS Trolley will provide a safe ride home, running from 7pm-3am to campus and Lyndenbrook hotels. This is a 21 and up event. Tickets go on sale February 1 and are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate. Tickets are also available on line @ http://wlbc.com or http://maxrocks.com

After many years of fighting the cold weather, Muncie Gras has been moved to a much friendlier time of the year. The mechanical bull is back, calf roping, go-go cage, Bud Zone mobile bar and dance party tent, two outdoor stage, belly dancers, aerial acts, 45 ft. high Zipline, drag show, sizzling hot male revue, and tons of live entertainment indoors and out to keep you in the party mood throughout the evening!

This year we are putting together a plethora of different genres, artists & spinners of all shapes & sizes and are bringing them here for you. We have gotten together with other people that make things happen & are combining our forces to bring you an arts & music festival that will live on as the season opener of the Midwest. Cost: $25 for each workshop; $7 for adults and $5 for children for the showcase Join Rebellyon Dance Troupe and Cornerstone Center for the Arts on Saturday, December 6th, for the Belly Dance Showcase and Fundraiser. A fabulous line up of belly dancers, including Cornerstone instructors and students, will showcase their skills to raise funds for the Arts Program at Cornerstone. This event is being hosted by Jenny Smithson and Rebellyon Dance Troupe in support of Cornerstone.
The fundraiser kicks off with two belly dance workshops during the day taught by Jenny Smithson and Jeana Jorgensen.
Workshop #1 - 10:00 am to 12:00 pm will be instructed by Jenny Smithson and will focus on Dubstep Belly Dance Fusion. You asked for it! Rebellyon will bring you fun and fierce belly dance choreography to Dubstep Music. Previous belly dance experience required. Workshop #2 - 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm: “How Slow Can You Go: Slow ATS Movement Vocabulary” will be instructed by Jeana Jorgensen and will explore American Tribal Style® and Slow Movement Vocabulary. This workshop will teach you the basics of ATS slow moves, from elegant hand floreos to slinky taxeems, and bodywaves. Then we’ll put it all together using the improvisational structure of ATS. Whether you want to learn more about the aesthetics of ATS to incorporate in your solo dancing, or you want to have fun dancing with others, this workshop is for you! The Belly Dance Showcase and Fundraiser will take place at Cornerstone Center for the Arts in the Colonnade Room located on the 1st floor. Doors open at 5:30 pm and the show begins at 6:00 pm. The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children at the door.
In addition to the entertainment, the event will feature a raffle with donations from local businesses as well as belly dancing costumes and accessories.
Cornerstone Center for the Arts is a non-profit community arts organization in downtown Muncie whose mission is to nurture community connections by providing opportunities for creative expression, educational programs, and events in a historic setting. All proceeds from the event will benefit Cornerstone’s Arts Programs.

The party will take place in the streets of downtown Muncie on Saturday, March 28th, from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Locals, visitors and students ages 21 and older are welcome to join in the New Orleans-style festivities
Event Director Cheryl Crowder said, “It’s our version of Bourbon on Walnut Street! This year should be bigger and better than ever. We’re building an event that continues to gain exposure throughout the Midwest.” Last year’s event drew upwards of 8,000 attendees from throughout the region.
This year’s entertainment offerings include the ever popular mechanical bull, bumper cars, stunt jump, human orbs, go-go cage, The Extreme Midget Wrestling Federation, Blue Moon Sideshow Circus, Cirilla’s dance party and game tent, Be Here Now’s live music stage, The Acoustic Room live music stage, BSU marching Band, Carenza’s Caravan of belly dancers, fire spinners and aerial acts, After Dark’s drag show and sizzling hot male revue, and tons of live entertainment indoors and out to keep you in the party mood! 10 outdoor bars will keep the libations flowing throughout the night. Budweiser will sponsor a 20 minute firework show at midnight that both attendees and the Muncie community are invited to enjoy, in celebration of Muncie’s 150th Sesquicentennial.
The event is open to those 21 years and over. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate. Tickets go on sale March 2nd. For those who would like to purchase tickets online, you may do so at http://munciegras.brownpapertickets.com on March 2nd. The MITS trolley and buses will provide a safe ride home, from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. with routes to the Ball State campus and Lyndenbrook area hotels.

Cost: $10 per person Troupe Rebellyon presents: Belladonna Baroness of Blade Gala Show at Cornerstone Center for the Arts (2nd floor Heritage Room).
Belladonna is an international performer and instructor out of Washington DC. She is best known as a pioneer of modern sword dancing, and for her theatrical performances, creative concepts and her ability to break down and teach complex subject matter.
She has been a guest performer with international superstars such as Amanda Palmer, Beats Antique, Corvus Corax, the Bellydance Super Stars and the Indigo. She has also had the honor of being a featured instructor at national and international festivals such as Tribal Fest, Art of the Belly, Rakkasah Spring Caravan, Tribal Alchemy, Elevation, Awakening Persephone, 3rd Coast Tribal, Gothla UK, FesTribal de Quebec as well as many private events, medieval events, cultural events and parties.
She is the creative director and producer of the annual Raven’s Night Soiree’, the Vixen Variety Show and co producer of the Monthly DCTribal cafe. She also is the director of three student troupes, BellaTrix, DashKhaleen and Khalasar. Professionally Belladonna is a skilled soloist, as well as one half of the dynamic duo Skella and the director of her most recent venture Kivahalla.
Other featured performances from Celeste, Ursula, Alima, Troupe Taleeba, Madlen, Jussenya, Tamar Sayeeda, and of course Muncie's own Rebellyon.

Come celebrate World Belly Dance Day while raising funds for our local Women's Shelter, A Better Way. This is a FREE belly dance showcase called Shimmy Mob 2016. We will treat you to more than 12 family friendly performances to celebrate World Belly Dance Day. We will also have collection buckets for donations to A Better Way.
Our primary objective is to raise donations and awareness. Funds raised via Shimmy Mob will be donated to Abused Women and Children shelters throughout the world. This year 202 cities are participating this year on five continents. Muncie is one of four cities here in Indiana. 2450 dancers around the world are all doing the same official Shimmy Mob choreography on the same day! Don't miss the fun!
