The School of Art invites the public to attend its series of rotating BA/BFA exhibitions April 11 through May 3. Students will display artworks created as part of their coursework, representing a dynamic range of media, concepts, and styles. This is a great chance to see the exciting art being made by some of the School of Art's seniors!

Visit the David Owsley Museum of Art from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, May 16 for a public reception featuring jazz, hors d'oeuvres, and a cash (only) bar. This Preview Party will kick off Art in Bloom weekend, an annual springtime celebration featuring floral creations inspired by works of art in the galleries!

(On May 17 and May 18 from 1pm to 5pm on both days, visitors can enjoy the arrangements, guided tours, music, and activities for all ages.)

There is no admission fee for this event, and weekend parking at non-metered spots on the Quad Circle is also free.

#YART is a Yard Sale for Art held during ArtsWalk on the First Thursday of every June and October at Canan Commons in Downtown Muncie! All Art priced under $40! The Spring 2025 Muncie YART will be from 5-8p on Thursday, June 5th during the Brink of Summer ArtsWalk! This is a HUGE event with hundreds of Artists!

Travel down the rabbit hole MOMIX-style with Moses Pendleton's newest creation, ALICE, inspired by Alice in Wonderland. As Alice’s body grows and shrinks and grows again, Pendleton’s dancers extend themselves by means of props, ropes, and other dancers.

“I don’t intend to retell the whole Alice story” he says, “but to use it as a taking off point for invention. I’m curious to see what will emerge, and I’m getting curiouser and curiouser the more I learn about Lewis Carroll, who like me was a devoted photographer.”

The Alice story is full of imagery and absurd logic – before there was surrealism there was Alice. Alice is an invitation to invent, to let imagination run and play outside.

The 14th Annual Showcase Concert presents a sampling of the School of Music's outstanding large ensembles, chamber groups, and soloists. We invite you to witness the exceptional talent of our students and help support student scholarships!

$20 in advance / $25 at the door. All tickets for this concert are the same price and are General Admission. Proceeds go towards the Bravo! Scholarship Fund.

Parking

Parking is available in the McKinley Parking Garage (entrance on Ashland Avenue) located immediately south of Sursa Hall. Metered parking ($1/hr) is available on the first floor of the garage until 7 p.m. at which time parking is free.

This show captures the essence and vibe of a 1970s Carole King concert, while respectfully paying homage to her iconic album, Tapestry. Immerse yourself in the timeless music of this Grammy-winning masterpiece. Additionally, the show will bring to life many beloved songs from the Broadway musical smash, ‘Beautiful’.

Released in 1971, Carole King’s ‘Tapestry’ is one of the best-selling and most celebrated albums of all time. With heart, reverence, and impeccable attention to detail, they perform this entire album – plus her other hits from the 70s.
