The Muncie Makers Market is happy to be a part of Muncie’s First Thursday community events in Downtown Muncie! 🍃 This is a popular local monthly tradition, going many years back, with all sorts of vendors, artists, and entertainers set up throughout Downtown Muncie. It’s a casual, relaxed evening outdoors, and we help to bring folks to the area. We are looking forward to a great turn out!

Assuming good weather, the Muncie Makers Market will set up every month on the sidewalks by the corner of Walnut and Adams Streets for the 2023 First Thursday gatherings, and be open ‪to the public from 5-8p‬. 🌿 The Muncie Makers Market is a registered farmers market featuring handmade creations, homemade foods, and locally grown produce! We hope you come see us and enjoy a lovely evening with your community!

Now in its 125th year, Muncie’s longest running Bazaar in the Woods will have unique goods from area artists, cooks and artisans. Among its offerings are pottery, woodcrafts, jewelry, raffle chances for a hand-made quilt, home-made baked sweets, crafts, books & media, fashionable new and gently used clothes, plants, collectibles, toys and children’s clothing, and unexpected treasures in furniture and decor during the silent auction. Visit the David Owsley Museum of Art on May 18 and 19 for Art in Bloom, an annual springtime celebration featuring floral creations by regional designers inspired by works of art in the galleries!

From 1pm to 5pm on both days, visitors can enjoy the arrangements, docent-led tours, music, and activities for all ages. An evening reception from 5pm to 7pm on Saturday, May 18, will offer jazz, hors d'oeuvres, and a cash (only) bar.

There is no admission fee for this event, and weekend parking on the Quad Circle is also free.

Help us spread the word about this community event by sharing or marking your attendance on the Facebook event, and bring your friends and family! The Facebook event will be updated with a detailed schedule of activities closer to the weekend.

The weekend also marks the final opportunity to see the special exhibition Beyond the Medici: The Haukohl Family Collection, which closes on May 19.
