Want to learn more about the social issues affecting your world? SCSA has been working with other student organizations to create a week of exciting events that are designed to arm you with the knowledge you need to destroy patriarchy, combat environmental degradation, and overall attempt to create a more inclusive, mutually beneficial world. See a documentary about the importance of environmental conservation. Participate in a “Buy Nothing” yard sale that is meant to push back against the rampant consumerism that’s destroying the environment. Attend a panel or two on intersectionality and learn how to recognize and understand multiple spheres of oppression. March in the SlutWalk to raise awareness of rape culture and promote equality for women of every race, nationality, and class. From Tuesday, April 22nd to Saturday, April 26th, actiFEST is going to be dropping knowledge bombs all over BSU--join the fun and learn how to change the world you’re living in for the better!

Tuesday: Earth Day Documentary, 5-9pm, AJ 175
Wednesday: Intersectionality Panels, 4-9pm, AJ 175
Thursday: Interactive Gallery of Social Issues, 12-6pm, SC 310
Friday: Slut Walk: a walk to raise awareness of rape culture hosted by Feminists for Action, NQ (outside)
Saturday: Buy Nothing Project Yard “Sale” 9am, NQ (outside)

Art & Craft Supplies Garage Sale!

We're teaming up with our neighbor, Tangled Web Art Studio, to bring you the Art & Craft Supplies Garage Sale!

Browse through gently used or new arts and crafts supplies to add to your creative arsenal!

Tables will be set up in BOTH studios!

LTBA Studio closes at 3pm!

Join for a gallery walk around DWNTWN Muncie. Watch and learn from local artists as they perform their craft in various DWNTWN shops. Enjoy their company and purchase their unique creations.

Muncie, Indiana – YART is Coming! 

YART is a Yard Sale for Art! YART began in Muncie, Indiana with students at Ball State University and continues in several U.S. cities! The Muncie YART is now held Downtown, twice a year, Spring and Fall, on the First Thursday of every May and October. 

The Fall 2016 Muncie YART will be held in conjunction with the 2016 ArtsWalk, in the Old National Financial lot on the corner of Walnut and Charles Streets in Downtown Muncie, Indiana, on Thursday, October 6th, from 5-9pm. 

This community art sale, with a goal of making art affordable and accessible to everyone, brings together artists and art patrons in a casual and unique setting. 

All forms of art are welcome! Art of all kinds, by all kinds of artists! YART encourages interaction between artists and the community, hoping to make art more accessible, especially to those who think they cannot afford to buy art for themselves. To this goal, all YART art will be priced below $40!

Each YART Artist will be present throughout YART to meet the public, discuss their art, handle sales personally, and some artists will be making art LIVE at YART!

The Fall 2016 Muncie YART will feature a wide variety of jewelry, clothing, photography, oil/acrylic/watercolor paintings, fused glass, ceramics, knits, pottery, candles, toys, drawings, sculpture, lampwork glass, stuffed animals, digital art, mosaics, the The Bookish Princess, Midwest Writer's Workshop's Poems While You Wait, the Art Mart Mobile Demo Lab, LIVE ART and LIVE MUSIC, and so much more!

Fun for all ages - YART and the annual ArtsWalk are for the whole family!

#YART is a Yard Sale for Art held during ArtsWalk on the First Thursday of every June and October at Canan Commons in Downtown Muncie! All Art priced under $40! The Spring 2024 Muncie YART will be from 5-8p on Thursday, June 6th during the Brink of Summer ArtsWalk! 

YART Artist Sign Up is on May 1st on the Muncie YART Facebook page - it's FREE to all Artists! Signing up means you are IN! 

YART has a zero-dollar budget and is proof that community members working together can create a hugely successful and fun experience! Volunteers are sought for the YART Artist Set-Up from 3-5p on June 6th, show up to HELP, thank you! ♥️

Annual HVNA Rummage Sale

Our BIG annual multi-neighborhood rummage sale is back this year on Saturday, July 18th starting at 8AM. Some sellers will be selling multiple days. Be sure to check our driving map to see the participating homes, with sale dates and sale items listed. We will continue to make updates as new information is received.

Likewise, be sure to like, follow and share our Facebook event, where we will provide further updates in the coming weeks.

This is a huge area comprised of ~1,000 homes in the Norwood, Nor-Hal and Halteman Village neighborhoods (the area between McGalliard, Wheeling, Riggin and Everett roads) in Muncie. We're also including the Halteman and Brewington Woods area between Moore and Riggin, and as always, the Halteman area (west Twickingham) just west of Everett.
