About

The Ball State Symphony Orchestra is a flagship ensemble of the School of Music that performs orchestral music from a wide variety of backgrounds and time periods.

About

The Ball State Opera Theatre program presents their 10th annual Opera Gala. The evening will feature School of Music faculty, alumni, and students performing together!

This year, our students and faculty will be joined by alumni Alexander Gushrowsky, Emma Nossem, Rachel Weinfeld, Rachel Spodek, Alexandra Billhartz, Kaitlyn Daily, Maggie Smith, and Rory Wallace.

Celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the USA with the Wind Symphony & Wind Ensemble! Enjoy beautiful, inspiring, and familiar music by Copland, Sousa, Ticheli, William Grant Still, and more. You'll hear favorites like The Stars and Stripes Forever and The Star Spangled Banner. We are also pleased to welcome guest conductor Dr. Russel Mikkelson from The Ohio State University and former Ball State University Professor of Saxophone, Dr. George Wolfe as soloist on Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child.

We hope to see you for this inspiring night of music, reflection, and celebration!

The Wind Ensemble is under the direction of LaToya Webb. Wind Symphony are under the direction of Jeremy Harmon, director of athletic bands.
