Explore the Creativity Center! Free Saturday!

The Muncie Children’s Museum is happy to announce a new mini-exhibit opening in June! The museum will be opening a new mini-exhibit area upstairs in the mezzanine as part of MCM’s Creativity Center.

The Art of Science explores the art behind four of MCM’s existing floor exhibits. This mini -exhibit will be on a rotating schedule and will feature a 2D and 3D hands on art station along with examples of different works of art.

Discover how art can be found in everyday science, reflect on different artist’s works and create a masterpiece to call your own.

Summer Sleepover!
Saturday, June 29th from 6:30 p.m. – Sunday, June 30th at 9 a.m.

Registration Deadline June 26th

Bring your sleeping bags and get ready for a night of PBS KIDS fun.  Stay the entire night at MCM enjoy milk and cookies, hear a bedtime story from “PBS KIDS host Miss Rosa”, view the new Sid the Science kid movie, and participate in games and crafts. 

Enjoy a full service breakfast the next morning with Daniel the Tiger and Buddy from Dinosaur Train.

$30 Per Child
(1 Adult Free:  1 Adult must accompany child at all times.)

Summer Camp

SCIENCE ADVENTURE CAMP: This camp is recommended for children ages 3-6.  (Children must be potty trained)

On our five-day camp, children will think, talk and work like a scientist in Sid’s Science Adventure Camp.  Investigate using different “Science Tools”, make observations and record data with Sid the Science Kid! 

Camp concludes with a Science Adventures Day!  Campers will be able to share what they have investigated throughout the week with their family.  Get dirty and explore the world of science as Sid joins us for the day.

There will be crafts, games, snacks and lots of fun educational activities to get your child excited about learning science.

Forty years ago, the Muncie Children’s Museum became a place where it’s fun to learn! It has served Muncie’s children, families, and schools and has played an important role in Muncie’s developing community!

A Night for the Museum is an adults-only annual fundraising event complete with entertainment, delicious appetizers, a cash bar, and fabulous silent auction. What better way to support the educational programs and interactive exhibits for children at the Muncie Children’s Museum.
