The Vore Arts Fund is a local 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to financially support the art community of Muncie and whose board meetings are open to the public.

Members of the public who are interested in the VAF are welcome to join us on Zoom and observe. At the end of the meeting, the board will invite questions and comments from guests.

This session is for “all ages”, minimum age 10. Parents can purchase a ticket if they also want to learn to play but don’t have to. Guardians must remain present for any kids who didn’t drive themselves and can wait in our comfortable waiting or craft areas.

This will be an Intro to D&D (5e) classes for people who are interested but don’t know where to start. We will cover character creation, combat, and role play storytelling basics. Limit 8 seats per class. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Supplies provided

-Character sheet (you will get to keep your completed sheet, take it home, and use it for future adventures )

-Pencil

-A standard set of D&D (to borrow, or you can bring your own)

-Your imagination (the Duke will have the rest of what you need for your first steps of ADVENTURE!)

Muncie Stitch n' Bitch meets every Sunday! 🧶 We meet weekly at The Cup at 3p. Everyone is welcome, with any kind of making! The Cup is in The Village, near the campus of Ball State University, at 1606 West University Avenue. Free parking is behind the café, enter the parking lot off of Dill Street by Be Here Now. This event celebrates treble voices raised in song, featuring Ball State’s Vox Anima, under the direction of Dr. Kerry Glann, and guest choirs Vola Voce from Anderson University, conducted by Dr. Sally Kelley, and White River Sound, a women’s barbershop chorus from Indianapolis led by Debbie Thistle

Vox Anima is a treble-voice ensemble (sopranos or altos) open to students of all disciplines who enjoy sharing camaraderie through music and achieving excellence in performance.

Parking

Parking is available in the McKinley Parking Garage (entrance on Ashland Avenue) located immediately south of Sursa Hall. Parking in this garage is free on weekends.

Based in Las Vegas, Justin Favela creates large-scale installations and sculptures reflecting American pop culture and the Latinx experience. His work has been exhibited internationally and across the U.S., including at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis and El Museo del Barrio. Favela, a 2021 Joan Mitchell Foundation Fellow, is currently the artist in residence at the Kohler Arts and Industry program. This event is made possible by the College of Fine Arts and the Arts Alive program.

Third Thursdays is a monthly experimental and electronic music performance held at the Common Market. The show is hosted by local musician crawlinggiants and features a different lineup each month. We present a unique listening experience in a supportive environment for musicians who enjoy expressing themselves in unusual and creative ways. The show is presented free of cover charge and open to all ages.

Groove: Interlocking Cultures Through Movement is an electrifying dance production that explores the powerful intersection of West African traditional dance and hip hop. Through this fusion, the show delves into how these two distinct dance forms rooted in rich cultural histories interact, influence, and inspire one another. Audiences will witness the rhythmic synergy and shared energy between the ancient and the modern, as dancers embody the pulse of tradition alongside the innovation of urban street dance.
Groove will be a celebration of cultural exchange, unity, and the universal language of kinesthetic movement.
