A feast for the eyes, the Holiday Art Showcase offers works of art by more than 25 East Central Indiana artists as dozens of drawings, jewelry, paintings, prints, and pottery pieces fill the gallery. Prices range from $1 to $2,000, with most falling between $30 to $200. From whimsical “Funcie” signs and shirts to handcrafted mugs and plates. Paintings capturing Indiana’s rural landscapes in various media to handbound journals and letterpress cards.

‘Inspired by Orchids’.
A wonderful art exhibit ‘Inspired by Orchids’. Artists include local Ball State University School of Art students who utilized the greenhouse during designated class times, as well as various community artists who enjoyed the greenhouse throughout the year and during our recent Community Artists Day, ‘en plein air’.
Held at the Dr. Joe and Alice Rinard Orchid Greenhouse, located in Christy Woods on the Ball State University campus. The new facility houses the largest collegiate collection of orchids in the USA, with 2000 orchids. There is always something in bloom throughout the year.
Hours M-F 10:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Saturdays 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

In July 2015, the New Horizons spacecraft gave us our first close look at Pluto, the most famous dwarf planet in the outskirts of our Solar System. The New Horizons flyby was big news, and the pictures it sent back to Earth reveal a world far more complex than anyone realized. Follow Mike Brown and his team at CalTech as they uncover dwarf worlds whose orbits take them deep into the far reaches of the Solar System. Is there a new planet beyond these distant objects? Join us on the hunt!

Cost: $8 Adults/$6 Students Muncie Civic’s Youth Theatre Education Program presents ALADDIN, JR. at First Baptist Church November 9th & 10th at 7:30pm, November 11th at 2:00pm & 7:30pm. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for children. Seating is General Admission.
When the street urchin, Aladdin, vies for the attention of the beautiful princess, Jasmine, he uses a genie’s magic power to become a prince in order to marry her. Iago, Jafar, the Genie and more are here in Disney’s Aladdin JR., a musical adventure filled with magic, mayhem and the power of love.
