Farmers Market is the perfect place to discover fresh produce, baked goods, plants, eggs, meats, and more! Connect with local vendors and experience what our community has to offer. 

SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), WIC, IU Health Bucks, and SFMNP (Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program) are accepted at participating vendors. 

The outdoor Farmers Market is generously presented by 3Rivers Federal Credit Union.

To mark the opening of our newest exhibition, Bird Photographer of the Year, join us on a guided birdwatching tour around campus. During this specific walk, participants will explore the Nature Area, learning about and hopefully catching sight of the diverse bird species that inhabit and hunt in the prairies and woodlands of East Central Indiana! 

Art in Bloom 2024

Visit the David Owsley Museum of Art on May 18 and 19 for Art in Bloom, an annual springtime celebration featuring floral creations by regional designers inspired by works of art in the galleries!

From 1pm to 5pm on both days, visitors can enjoy the arrangements, docent-led tours, music, and activities for all ages. An evening reception from 5pm to 7pm on Saturday, May 18, will offer jazz, hors d'oeuvres, and a cash (only) bar.

There is no admission fee for this event, and weekend parking on the Quad Circle is also free.

The weekend also marks the final opportunity to see the special exhibition Beyond the Medici: The Haukohl Family Collection, which closes on May 19.

paper poppy

Discover your inner Mother Nature and learn how to create a lovely and realistic crepe paper poppy to take home! Learn techniques from local artist Jeanne Zeigler with all supplies provided. The two workshops - part of Art in Bloom weekend - are free of charge but space is limited and registration is required.

Please note: This activity is for ages 16 and up as the techniques will be advanced - but Art in Bloom will also feature drop-in paper flower making activities for kids on both days.

Come out and hear Jansen play, we'll have bourbon specials, and Jansen's favorite drink on special! We'll have our smoker going and amazing pulled pork specials!
