The School of Art invites the public to attend a showcase of work by students from the BFA in Visual Arts/Animation program, including the Animation Production, Game Art/Design, Illustration, and VFX concentrations. Students will display artworks created as part of their schoolwork, representing a dynamic range concepts and styles. This is a great chance to see the exciting art being made by some of the School of Art's Animation Majors!
Reception is from 4 - 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1.
All exhibitions will be in The Ned and Gloria Griner Art Gallery, just off the Atrium Food Court in the Arts & Journalism building. Free and open to the public.
Black Study Group: Dual-Power & Community Control

Join us for Black Study Group this Mon (4/6) and Tues (4/7) at 6p at the Muncie Liberation Studio for a group read of selected readings from Hood Communist, Shaka Shakur’s “Manifestations of Thought: When the Dragon Comes”, and Black Agenda Report. Come learn about and discuss Dual Power, Community Control, and how the Republic of New Afrika challenges and exists as an alternative to the US colonial state. This session was inspired by washington d.c.’s Pan-African Community Action’s Community Control proposal for their city where they demand more democratic and community-based organizing around public safety, youth education, and other key governing institutions which shape the lives and realities working class, Black communities in d.c. Beginners are welcome and readings are provided. Hope to see you there!
