The Story Behind Workshop

Ages: 14 to Adult This workshop is a panel discussion of some of the unique people and places in Muncie history. The program will feature photographs, maps, building plans, and diary entries of some of the people and unique places in Muncie. The panelists will provide interesting, little-known stories about the historic architecture and colorful characters in Muncie history—the Fieldhouse, the historic court houses, city founders, and prominent leaders like Hurley Goodall.
The panel will be made up of the following individuals:
Melissa Gentry, Ball State University Libraries’ GIS Research and Map Collection
Brandon Pieczko, Digital Archivist at Ball State University Libraries’ Archives and Special Collections
Bob Good, Delaware County Historical Society and cemetery preservationist
Jeff Koenker, Ball State University Libraries and administrator of the “Lost Muncie” Facebook pagePaul Stout, retired map librarian from the Ball State University Libraries

We gather to inform and support one another in our individual and collective efforts to promote social justice on a local and global level.
We equip one another with practical, positive ways to communicate and engage with local, state and national government.
We empower one another to be advocates for all people.

Cost: $25.00 Ages: 21+ Enjoy a fun night out painting with friends at The Fickle Peach in Downtown Muncie. The teacher will guide you step by step to create your own piece of artwork. Each session will feature a different painting. Registration fee includes one workshop, supplies, and a drink of choice provided by The Fickle Peach. Registration is limited and payment at the time of registration is required.
