This one-hour DVD program, produced by the Liberty Fund, Inc., will discuss Adam Smith’s first work, The Theory of Moral Sentiments (1759). Smith is commonly regarded as the first modern economist and he wrote in a wide range of disciplines: moral philosophy, jurisprudence, rhetoric and literature, and the history of science. His views on modern economic thought still inspires economists today.
