6 Guitars is a pitch perfect blend of music, comedy, and theater. Just 1 performer portrays 6 guitar-playing characters each representing their own style of music:

• Wes Tankerfield, a snobbish jazz master
• Michael Marsh, a 19-year-old rock prodigy
• Peter Winter-Jones, a sensitive folk musician
• Rupert Colt, a charming country songwriter
• Emmanuel Ortega, an eccentric classical wizard
• Tyrone Gibbons, a weary blues picking octogenarian

As each character shares the anecdotes and songs that define their relationship to music, the audience is treated to breathtaking musicianship, beautiful storytelling, and top-notch comedy. Audience interaction and improvised songs tailors each performance to any given crowd.

Just a spontaneous jam session at Nashville’s Station Inn between a few friends. All women, all seasoned players out to make a little noise on a weeknight. What happened next was alchemy: the room lit up, the crowd roared and by the time the night was over, something had shifted. The landscape of bluegrass, and the women who played it, would never be the same.

A GRAMMY-nominated, IBMA-sweeping, Grand Ole Opry-starring force. But for all the stages they played and accolades they earned, they were still often reduced to a single line: all-female bluegrass band. It was true, yet reductive. Since forming in New York City in 1995 they have been a galvanizing element in the Irish music scene – a lightening rod of talent and inspiration that set new standards for musicianship, repertoire, and intensity. Over the course of twelve critically acclaimed albums and endless international touring, Solas brought their love and respect for the traditions of Irish music, and their sense of melodic and instrumental adventure to the world. 

In 2017, after a remarkable two decade career, Solas decided it was time for a break. Now, after eight years, the break is over and Solas is back and ready to celebrate their 30th Anniversary! The musical adventure continues in 2025.

Duende Libre is an award-winning jazz trio whose original music combines jazz virtuosity with roots rhythms from Cuba, Brazil, and West Africa into a “strikingly authentic blend.” Each having apprenticed with direct descendants and master musicians of these traditions, they consider themselves disciples of their teachers. The result: A euphoric new jazz that honors its historical roots, pushing open the boundaries of genre to invoke a powerful sonic freedom.

Comprising core members Alex Chadsey (bandleader and keys), Jeff Busch (percussion), and Farko Dosumov (bass), Duende Libre is collectively influenced by the trio’s direct connections with master musicians including Clinton Fearon, Dudley Nesbitt, Dave Hassel, Jesse Bannister, Chucho Valdés, Carlos Santana, Martha Gonzalez, Quetzal Flores, and Joe Santiago.

The band effectively—and uniquely—calls attention to the space between contemporary jazz traditions and broader musical influences from around the globe. Informed by a cumulative century of devoted study, they answer to this with emphatic (and euphoric) sonic interpretations that effectively enrich the collective language of jazz itself.
