Help create the Muncie Action Plan! What is the Muncie Action Plan and what will be included? The Muncie Action Plan will be a strategic guide that expresses the values and aspirations of our community, while creating a compelling action agenda for the future. That is why the Muncie Action Plan needs you. Why an Action Plan? We need a tool to shape an inspired agenda for the future of Muncie. That is why the Muncie Action Plan needs you. Who is preparing the Action Plan? Anyone in the community that cares about their future in Muncie is participating in creating the action plan. Anyone in Muncie that is concerned about the future of the place they live, work, play, or study is needed to participate. That is why the Muncie Action Plan needs you. What topics will be addressed? Anything that is of interest to the community will be considered. That is why the Muncie Action Plan needs you. Why should I care? If you want aspects of the community improved, then you should also care enough to help identify what needs to eb addressed. Anyone who cares about Muncie will care enough to tell us what you think. That is why the Muncie Action Plan needs you. What happens when the plan is complete? The Action Plan will include recommendations for action that are achievable by Muncie with the support of the community. That is why the Muncie Action Plan needs you.

Ball State Employee Activities Committee will host their annual Craft Show on Saturday, Nov. 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Northside Middle School (northwest of the intersection of McKinley and Bethel Avenue). Admission and parking is free for this event. Refreshments will be sold. Approximately 80 vendors, many Ball State employees and retirees, will be selling a large variety of hand-crafted items. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend this wonderful annual event. If you are interested in reserving your own booth space to sell craft items, you may e-mail me at: jthomas@bsu.edu to receive a registration form via e-mail.

Members of the Ball State community will be selling homemade crafts such as candles, ceramics, paintings, pottery, metal and wood crafts, crocheted, sewn, knitted items, jewelry, holiday decorations, children's items, baked goods and much more.

Interested in selling your crafts?  Booth rental is $30.00. Booth must be reserved in the name of a Ball State University employee, retiree or student.  To reserve your spot please complete the bottom portion of the flyer and return payment to Jane Thomas, Office of Teacher Ed Services, TC205. Keeping the peace Weekend will be Friday and Saturday June 9th-10th 2017. Friday we will kickoff the festivities with a benefit basketball game with the City of Muncie Finest MPD vs MFD for the second annual basketball game at Northside Middle School. The doors will open at 6:00pm with the game at 7:00pm the game is free. We will have special guests on hand to sign autographs.  On Saturday we will have our "Keeping The Peace" Parade at 10:00am we will start lining up at 8:45am. Then that evening we will be having our 'Black Carpet Gala" at the Cornerstone for the Arts. Tickets are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 at the door. The gala is from 7:00pm-12:00am.

Muncie Civic Theatre presents MY FAIR LADY at Northside Middle School October 13-14, 20-22, and 26-28.  Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 pm and Sunday matinees start at 2:00pm.  Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for groups of 10+, and $13 for students & children. Reserved Seating.

My Fair Lady, based on George Bernard Shaw’s classic play Pygmalion, tells the familiar story of Eliza Doolittle, a Covent Garden flower peddler of lowly social status who agrees to take speech lessons from phonetician Henry Higgins in order to fulfill her dream of working in a flower shop. Eliza and Higgins clash, and then form an unlikely bond – one that is threatened by an aristocratic suitor.
