  • Dancing with a Brush 10am to 2pm @ The E.B. and Bertha C. Ball Center 400 Minnetrista Boulevard, Muncie
    Cost: $85 each session, includes lunch

    Mrs. Johnson will teach simplified techniques for creating a beautiful watercolor masterpiece from start to finish. Her professional experience enables her to teach novices as well as advanced painters in the same setting. You’ll  learn something new in each session, no matter your skill level. A suggested supply list will be provided upon enrollment. Each class is limited to 15 participants. 

  • Foodie Friday 11am to 1pm @ Canan Commons 500 S. Walnut St

    Muncie Downtown Development Partnership and the Muncie Parks Department will host Foodie Fridays, at Canan Commons on Fridays from 11:00am-1:00pm. 

    Attendees are invited to spend their lunch time relaxing in the park with friends and family, enjoying the new park and weekly entertainment. Bring your own lunch, purchase a lunch from our on-site vendors or get lunch to go from one of our DWNTWN eateries. Some seating will be available. We will also have shady spots on the lawn for guests who would like to bring blankets or lawn chairs. 

    In addition to live music entertainment each week, a children’s activity will be provided.

    Canan Commons is located in the 500 block of south Walnut Street near the roundabout and across the street from the YMCA and Muncie Music Center. Street parking is available and public parking lots are located throughout DWNTWN.

  • Into the Darkness 6:30pm @ Charles W. Brown Planetarium 2000 West Riverside Avenue

    People often peer into the darkness of the night sky and wonder what is there. These seemingly dark regions are actually filled with nebulae, star clusters, and other galaxies. Come learn how to navigate the sky by using bright stars and constellations, and discover what fascinating objects exist deep in space. Best suitable for all ages 8+Planetarium Information:·         Planetarium shows are free of charge. ·         No tickets or reservations are required, but plan to arrive early as seating is done on a first-come, first-serve basis. ·         We do our best to open doors 30 minutes before show time. ·         Shows run 45-60 minutes. ·         There is no food or drink allowed in the planetarium. ·         Children 17 years and under should be accompanied by an adult. ·         The Charles W. Brown Planetarium is located on the west end of the Cooper Science Complex, at 2000 W.
