Neighborhood Rummage Sale

Come check out the spring neighborhood rummage sale in the Halteman, Norwood, Nor-Hall and Vienna Woods neighborhoods! We are located north of McGalliard & south of Riggin Road, between Tillotson/Everett on the west and Wheeling on the east.
Lots of items to choose from, including toys, clothes, bikes, tools, household and other miscellaneous items. If you can't come to our May sale, don't worry, we will have another in July!
We welcome everyone, but please do be courteous - we ask that you not park in yards and please, no sales before 8 a.m.
Any HVNA residents wanting to participate in the spring sale should contact Nancy Baker (nbaker@comcast.net) before May 6 for more information.
- Horticulture Volunteer Day 9am to 12pm @ Minnetrista Museum & Gardens 1200 North Minnetrista Parkway
Join the Minnetrista Horticulture team for a special volunteer day to help maintain and further our lively gardens! Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn and grow in their knowledge of the garden cultivation alongside helpful professionals. Whether cleaning and preparing soil for future seeds or digging and planting, there’s always plenty of work to be done!
- American Association of University Women Used Book Sale 10am @ Ball State Alumni Center
Cost: Used books are sold by the pound. Admission to sale is free. The American Association of University Women Used Book Sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 25; Tuesday, May 28; Wednesday, May 29; Thursday, May 30; and Friday, May 31. During the final day of the sale, it will be open from10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 1.
On Saturday, June 1, the last day of the sale, book prices will be reduced. Sale attendees can purchase a grocery bag of books for $5.
Parking in the Ball State Alumni Center parking lot near the university’s football stadium is free for book sale attendees.
The Muncie Branch of AAUW uses the money raised through its annual book sale for nontraditional student scholarships. For the 2018-19 school year, the group will award three $2,000 scholarships.
Donations of used and new books, excluding textbooks, are now being accepted through the start of the book sale.
Indiana Public Radio, which is a co-sponsor of the event, is accepting books prior to the sale. People should call 765-285-5888 to arrange to donate books. People with books to drop off may park behind the Letterman Building on Ball State University’s campus. Access to the parking area is off of Riverside Avenue.
Books also may be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, May 24, at the entrance of the Ball State Alumni Center. Carts will be available to unload books. Entrances for the Alumni Center are off Bethel Avenue or Tillotson Avenue.
