Created in partnership with Muncie Juneteenth, this powerful exhibition turns the spotlight to our community’s youth. I Am invites children to imagine themselves in the futures they dream of—scientists, artists, leaders, caregivers, and more—and captures those visions in striking portraits. 
Each portrait is a declaration of identity and aspiration—because when children see themselves reflected in the world around them, it affirms that they belong. I Am is both a celebration of dreams and a call to action: the future of our community is already here—and it’s bold, brilliant, and full of promise.

Learn Bob’s signature “wet-on-wet” technique from an experienced Certified Ross Instructor® and paint in the building where The Joy of Painting was filmed! Just bring yourself, and we will provide everything you need to have a wonderful time. Just like Bob said, “Let’s get crazy!” 

This workshop is held in the Bob Ross Experience studio, which is only accessible by stairs. Painting workshops are open to participants ages 14 and up. Pre-registration is preferred; limited walk-in tickets may be available—please call ahead. 

Painted Mugs from Made In Muncie Pottery

FREE to Veterans, Vet Family, Military Spouses, Caregivers, Survivors, Current Service Members, Active, Reserve, and Guard.

Join us for the Painted Mug Workshop at veteran-owned Made In Muncie Pottery! Technique instruction, bare pottery for the project, all glazes and supplies, and firing of the project piece is provided! This workshop is designed to show you specialized techniques that you can add your own creativity!

About the Instructor

Toren Scott is a clay artist and Navy veteran from Muncie, Indiana. He has been the owner of Made in Muncie Pottery since 2012. His work includes small batch production pottery, sculptures, and functional forms.

Parking

Parking is available in the McKinley Parking Garage (entrance on Ashland Avenue) located immediately south of Sursa Hall. Metered parking is available on the first floor of the garage until 7 p.m. at which time parking is free.

An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box.
