The Delaware County Fairgrounds is Muncie's in-town camping and RV accommodation hub for everyone visiting for the Total Eclipse of the Heartland! The Magic City Market, with live music and dozens of artisan Makers, will be there all weekend for visitors and locals! While you enjoy our wonderful Hoosier town, you will be able to socialize and shop with the Muncie Makers Market at the Magic City Market held in Heartland Hall at the Fairgrounds. For THREE DAYS in April 2024 - Saturday the 6th, Sunday the 7th, and Monday the 8th - from 10a-6p, in Heartland Hall, we will feature a General Store, 2024 Eclipse souvenirs, beautiful handmade arts, delicious homemade goodies, craft beer, local food trucks with hot meals, live music, indoor seating and outdoor picnic seating, and much more. Unique and high quality offerings from our creative community await! This is a mandatory event for locals and a welcoming place for visitors!

Special Sunday Eclipse Programs! 2:30pm to 7pm @ Charles W. Brown Planetarium 2111 West Riverside Avenue

Who: Everyone is invited! Community friends, families, students… everyone!
Cost: FREE, cash donations accepted. Space is limited, and seating will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.

- Free Ball State solar eclipse glasses, while supplies last, for a suggested donation of $1/pair
- Solar telescopes (weather permitting)
- 30-minute planetarium shows for all ages:
- 2:30pm – One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure (ages 3+)
- 3:30pm – Kitz the Cat’s SuperMoon Adventure (ages 6+)
- 4:30pm – Earth, Moon, & Sun (ages 8+)
- 5:30pm – Eclipse: The Sun Revealed (ages 9+)
- 6:30pm – Eclipse: The Sun Revealed (ages 9+)
Learn more about the upcoming total solar eclipse happening at Ball State to prepare for the spectacular event. Glasses are partially funded through support from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Simons Foundation.
Due to nearby construction, select parking and pathway access to the planetarium is blocked off. Plan to arrive early to safely navigate the area and to arrive on time for the program.
- The planetarium is located on the west end of the Cooper Science Building, at 2111 West Riverside Avenue on the campus of Ball State University in Muncie.
- Food, drinks, gum or candy are not allowed in the planetarium.
- Cellphones and any electronics that emit light must be silenced or turned off at the start of all programs. Please refrain from wearing light-up shoes to any planetarium programs.
- Children 17 years and under should be accompanied by an adult.
- We greatly appreciate your support to make our programs possible, and cash donations are accepted at the door.
Magic at Minnetrista: The Total Solar Eclipse of the Arts 3pm to 8pm @ Minnetrista Museum & Gardens 1200 N. Minnetrista Pkwy. IN 47303

Various locations across campusJoin Minnetrista in appreciating the beauty of the heavens! Afternoon activities facilitated by Minnetrista and Muncie Children’s Museum staff will include coloring sun catchers, making solar viewing crowns, and exploring sensory bins. That evening, the stars align as Minnetrista and Orchestra Indiana present Eclipsed: A Magical Night of Music. With the sky as our backdrop, visitors are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and picnic blankets to revel in celestial-themed musical selections. Local arts partners and food trucks will be on hand to enhance your experience and round out the evening.

Cost: $12 Adults, $10 Students Muncie Civic Youth Education Theatre’s in partnership with Ball State University’s Theatre Education Program present ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS in the Casazza Family Studio Theatre.
