A special edition of First Thursday, Brink of Summer ArtsWalk celebrates the arts culture in Muncie. Watch and learn from local artists as they perform their craft, support vendors at YART, and explore the DWNTWN community. Enjoy DWNTWN and collect a unique bouquet of flowers during Flower Hour. 

Presented by the Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. and Nonprofit Support Network.

Flower Hour
Presented by Normandy Flower Shop, Dandelions Flowers and Gifts, and Miller’s Flowers.

Explore DWNTWN and collect flowers from 10 different locations to create your own unique bouquet! Start your journey by picking up your physical ticket at the DWNTWN tent at the corner of Walnut and Charles Street. The flower locations you will be traveling to are indicated on your ticket, plus a DWNTWN Summer Events schedule you will want to hang on your fridge when you are done! Gather your flowers at your leisure in any order you desire while enjoying the other aspects of ArtsWalk until 7:30pm.

Proceeds from this event will support DWNTWN event programming.

111 Arts Gallery 
111 E. Main
Zorn Crowder and father Jeff Crowder will be showing paintings and sculptures @111artsgallery on First Thursday from 5-8pm. If you’re a downtown local, this duo is well-known. Jeff has been an underground fixture to many of the buildings downtown for the last 40 years and Zorn has grown up in the downtown Muncie area. Come support local art! Hand made keepsakes.

Cornerstone Center for the Arts

Brink of Summer Artswalk at Cornerstone Center for the Arts featuring FOUND FIBER FOUND OBJECTS: yarn bombing fiber installation by Debra Gindhart Dragoo. Music guest Barry Banks and many talented community artists and makers. There’s plenty of parking available and you can take the elevator to the second floor where you’ll find live music and dozens of booths full of affordable creations made by local artists. 2nd Floor/Great Hall

For your spontaneous or well thought out tattoo needs Fox & Sparrow Tattoo will be accepting Walk-Ins 1pm-8pm! They are also one stop of many local businesses to pick up your flower for Flower Hour. 

Gordy Fine Art & Framing Co.

The Art of Nurturing: Shonet Martin & Abby Wagner: Gordy Fine Art & Framing is proud to exhibit artworks that connect these artists, and even the viewers, to the nurturing role we all play in raising families and helping care for parents as they age. Shonet and Abby will give an artist's talk at 6:15 that will delve deeper into their inspirations, techniques, and the stories behind their artworks.

Made in Muncie will hold an opening reception from 5-8pm for June’s featured artist, Maya Doss. Her collection of work showcases colorful displays of the spiritual and natural inspired by the alchemy of metamorphosis. 

Madjax Muncie

Join Child Adult Resource Services/Beyond I Can in creating custom keychains for Father's Day, or make one for yourself instead! Keychains are $3 and materials will be provided.

Press any photo onto a live-edge slate panel for a unique Father's Day gift at the Madjax Design Lab for just $15. We're open until 8:30 and it only takes about 20 minutes, so come by after Arts Walk and make something special with us while supplies last. Madjax will also host a few craft vendors, including our tenants Just4Fun and UniqBoutique with custom succulent planters and decor.
