True West is a classic brother versus brother tale set against the backdrop of Hollywood glamour and quiet suburban life. Set in an outer Los Angeles suburb on the edge of the desert, True West focuses on the tense reunion of two brothers that are leading very different lives.
The oldest brother, Lee, a drinking, drifting thief is visiting his estranged brother Austin and is looking to go on a burglary spree. Austin, an aspiring Hollywood screenwriter, is housesitting for their mother who is away. Austin quickly finds Lee meddling with his next project - jeopardizing all that he has been working towards. As the play unfolds and the brothers learn about each other's lives, the audience is left wondering: which brother is Cain, and which is Abel?
