Poet, writer and artist Jacqueline Suskin will discuss her latest book "Go Ahead and Like It" and her job as a poet at 7 p.m. Sept. 17 in AJ 225 as part of the School of Art's Visiting Artist guest lecture series.
Suskin is known for her ongoing work with a piece she calls Poem Store, where she composes on-demand poetry on a manual typewriter for customers who choose both a topic and a price in exchange for a unique verse. Poem Store has been Suskin's main occupation since 2009.
Suskin and her projects have been profiled in the New York Times T Magazine, the New York Times Style and Fashion section, the Los Angeles Times, The Atlantic, Time Out Los Angeles and elsewhere.
