To commemorate Native American Heritage Month, the BSU Libraries’ GIS Research and Map Collection will present a maps program depicting the history of Native Americans in North America and the United States, including original culture areas, land cessions and migrations, wars, and current settlement areas. The program will also include photographs and artwork detailing Native American participation in world events and important Native American figures who shaped history.
This workshop is free and open to the public and will be held at Cornerstone Center for the Arts. Pre-registration is encouraged and is available at http://cornerstonearts.org/education/programs/native_american_maps.
