Ball State's top two band ensembles present a series of concerts each year under the direction of Thomas Caneva, Director of Bands, and Shawn Vondran, Assistant Director of Band. Mallory Thompson guest conducts.
Mallory Thompson, Director of Bands and Professor of Music at Northwestern University, guest conducts the Wind Ensemble and Symphony Band. Thompson has appeared as a guest conductor at the College Band Directors National Association conventions, the Midwest Clinic, the Interlochen Arts Academy, and the Aspen Music Festival, among others, and recently released a CD titled Rising. She is a former faculty member of the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, University of South Florida, and Oberlin Conservatory.
