Enjoy a luscious program of famous musical Preludes & Introductions presented by America’s Hometown Band to celebrate the 28th anniversary of the formation of the AHB, under the direction of Roger McConnell. Join the band at Emens on Sunday afternoon on Feb. 21st, 4:30 pm.
Featured solo performers are saxophonist George Wolfe (Porgy & Bess Medley by George Gershwin), and pianist Phillip Cooley (Cordoba by Julie Giroux).

Cost: $5 cover charge Irish tunes by musicians from AMERICA’S HOMETOWN BAND serve up the entertainment for the annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Vera Mae’s Bistro, 209 S. Walnut St., in downtown Muncie, on Thursday evening, March 17, 2016.
From 5:30 to 8 pm -- the AHB Clarinet Choir, the AHB Flute Choir, and Bill Morton’s Irish Band set the mood as they take turns playing traditional melodies from the Emerald Isle. Xylophonist David Robbins performs Irish Washerwoman. And from 8 pm on, jazz keyboardist Phil Cooley, a co-director of the AHB, closes out the evening’s musical fare.

Beech Grove Cemetery again hosts the annual Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony to honor all past and present American service personnel. All music for the ceremony, including Taps, is performed live by America's Hometown Band.
The public is invited to attend the 11 AM ceremony and take a few moments to remember and appreciate the services and lives committed to keeping America free since the birth of the nation, both locally and nationally.
Cemetery officials, plus Muncie Mayor Dennis Tyler and local military organization representatives, are to be the speakers in the program.

Pressler is a BSU alumnus and professional musician based in Las Vegas. He has enjoyed a long and colorful career in show bands accompanying the biggest names in show biz entertainment - such as Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Wayne Newton, Siegfried & Roy and many others.

Friday, Nov.11, 2016, the City of Muncie's annual Veterans Day dinner and military honor program takes place at Muncie Central High School. The dinner starts at 5:30 pm and is free for veterans; available to others for a freewill donation with all proceeds going to veterans organizations.
Honor Program starts at 7 pm, with a local color guard and speakers from local veterans service groups, plus remarks by Mayor Dennis Tyler. Music by America's Hometown Band, and including MCHS & BSU students.

Free Anniversary Concert at Emens Auditorium by America's Hometown Band
Muncie area families are invited to get out and enjoy a FREE celebration concert of the band's 29th anniversary. This lively musical outing ranges from an energetic full-band arrangement of Scarborough Fair - to an amazing xylophone duet called Xylophonia featuring two local area High School Music Directors - to the timeless appeal of Gershwin tunes from the American opera Porgy & Bess.
AND -starting at 3 pm, there are free refreshments in AC Rm.114 (first door on the right just inside the Emens east entrance).

For the dinner hours from 6:30 to 8 pm -- a roster of small ensembles of AHB performers recreate favorite melodies and memories from the Emerald Isle. Flutes, clarinets, trombones, a jazz combo, and a Little Green Band are set to entertain diners.
