FREE!  The musicians and soloists from America's Hometown Band entertain the summer crowd in their lawn chair seats at Westside Park.  The program is a sampler of musical genres - from the movies, the military band, show tunes, the classics, soft rock, and featured instrumentalists with band accompaniment. Celebrates Great Beginnings!  

Enjoy a luscious program of famous musical Preludes & Introductions presented by America’s Hometown Band to celebrate the 28th anniversary of the formation of the AHB, under the direction of Roger McConnell.  Join the band at Emens on Sunday afternoon on Feb. 21st, 4:30 pm.

Featured solo performers are saxophonist George Wolfe (Porgy & Bess Medley by George Gershwin), and pianist Phillip Cooley (Cordoba by Julie Giroux).

Irish tunes by musicians from AMERICA’S HOMETOWN BAND serve up the entertainment for the annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Vera Mae’s Bistro, 209 S. Walnut St., in downtown Muncie, on Thursday evening, March 17, 2016.  

From 5:30 to 8 pm -- the AHB Clarinet Choir, the AHB Flute Choir, and Bill Morton’s Irish Band set the mood as they take turns playing traditional melodies from the Emerald Isle. Xylophonist David Robbins performs Irish Washerwoman. And from 8 pm on, jazz keyboardist Phil Cooley, a co-director of the AHB, closes out the evening’s musical fare.

Beech Grove Cemetery again hosts the annual Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony to honor all past and present American service personnel. All music for the ceremony, including Taps, is performed live by America's Hometown Band.

The public is invited to attend the 11 AM ceremony and take a few moments to remember and appreciate the services and lives committed to keeping America free since the birth of the nation, both locally and nationally.

Cemetery officials, plus Muncie Mayor Dennis Tyler and local military organization representatives, are to be the speakers in the program.

Hello Summer!!  Free Outdoor Concert season with America's Hometown Band opens at Canon Commons on this Thursday evening at 7:30 pm. AHB is performing with the local "golden oldies" band , Reminisce Band. Bring your lawn blankets and chairs to enjoy this musical evening on the Commons.

Free - The Big Band performers from America's Hometown Band light up the midsummer evening at this June 23rd outing on the lovely grounds of the E B Ball Center. Relive the fantastic energy and style of jazz and swing greats such as Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Tommy Dorsey, and Billy May.  Come and be amazed at the performance talents from these Hometown musicians!

America's Hometown Band sets the celebratory mood for Independence Day with its program of lively American classics and patriotic music. It all  leads up to Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever at dusk and the City of Muncie fireworks show glittering overhead. Bring your comfy lawn blanket or chairs to enjoy this spectacular summer event.

Join the members of America's Hometown Band for a free outdoor concert at 1 pm during the public Ice Cream Social at the Senior Center on W 8th St in Muncie (formerly Forest Park school). Enjoy easy summertime musical listening as you take part in the Senior Center ice cream (small charge) and prize raffles, mingle with friends, and learn about activities and services available at the center.

Treat yourself to a rollicking good Big Band performance by members of America's Hometown Band. The beautiful outdoors terrace setting will echo with the jumpin' and jivin' sounds of the Swing Era master composers - Bennie Goodman, Artie Shaw,  Glenn Miller, and many more. Bring the lawn blankets, folding chairs, and snacks and be swept away by the big talents onstage.

Sit back in your lawn chair and enjoy this late summer outdoor concert with Muncie's municipal band - America's Hometown Band. This full band program is a sampler of great concert band numbers, including a featured solo performer, a guest conductor, march tunes, and movie music. All free! All fun!

The Field of Flags closing ceremony at Minnetrista takes place on the anniversary of our nation's 9/11 tragedy, The weeklong event was created to honor all police, fire, and emergency personnel everywhere who serve America.The AHB band supplies the patriotic music, including a moving rendition of Taps. 

America's Hometown Band takes the 2 o'clock spot in the festival music tent on Washington Street on Sunday, Sept. 18 to entertain festival goers with that full concert band sound. Come sit a spell and enjoy the free concert of lively, fun music that the Band will deliver.

Muncie's Westview Elementary School Choir is a special guest at the 2016 Hometown Family Christmas Concert at Emens Auditorium. 

This 'Holiday spirit tune-up'  is presented by America's Hometown Band, its concert band, jazz band, soloists, and woodwind choirs. Come celebrate the sounds of the season and support the fine musicians of Muncie's municipal band, who enrich our community with many free outdoor concerts throughout the summer.
