Cost: $10 adults/$5 children & students IPR proudly presents their annual holiday radio drama that hearkens back to days of yore with authentic sound effects and a live orchestra. An original work by Michael Kleeberg, A FEW HOUSES DOWN tells the Christmas story of two scattered families who are brought together by Grandpa, who imagines himself to be all of the characters in a classic holiday novel. Directed by Matthew Reeder, assistant professor of directing and Shakespeare at Ball State University. Solo concert by Aaron Tan sponsored by the Muncie Chapter, American Guild of Organists. Tan is winner of the 2018 AGO National Young Artists Competition in Organ Performance, First Prize and Audience Prize; winner of the 2017 Sursa American Organ competition at Ball State. Currently studying at the Institute of Sacred Music at Yale University, Aaron also serves as Organ Scholar at Church of the Resurrection, NYC. Sursa American Organ Competition Winner with the MSO

Ball State University will host the third Sursa American Organ Competition in September, 2019. The first prize winner of the Pre-Professional Division will be awarded a solo appearance with the MSO. They will perform on the Goulding & Wood organ in Sursa Performance Hall.
Elgar dedicated Enigma Variations “to my friends pictured within”, each variation being a musical sketch of his close acquaintances. Those portrayed include Elgar’s wife Alice, his friend and publisher Augustus J. Jaeger and Elgar himself.
