Now in its 125th year, Muncie’s longest running Bazaar in the Woods will have unique goods from area artists, cooks and artisans. Among its offerings are pottery, woodcrafts, jewelry, raffle chances for a hand-made quilt, home-made baked sweets, crafts, books & media, fashionable new and gently used clothes, plants, collectibles, toys and children’s clothing, and unexpected treasures in furniture and decor during the silent auction. Breakfast, lunch & live music through the day. Credit cards are accepted, and no taxes or postage to pay. 4800 W. Bradford Woods Dr., off Morrison Rd., south of Wal-Mart North.

This juried art competition and exhibition, created in partnership with Muncie’s Red-Tail Land Conservancy, encourages Indiana artists to derive creative inspiration from the land around us.

Free community eventAutumn is the time to harvest the fruits of our summer labor and reflect on what we’re grateful to have during the long winter months. Join us at Betty’s Cabin to learn the history of the Cornucopia or ‘horn of plenty’ and make your own paper cornucopias!

- Sub & Stitch Ornaments 1:00pm to 3:30pm @ Madjax Muncie Design Lab - 1st Floor 515 East Main Street Muncie, In 47302
Cost: $5 per person due at registration Ages: 16+; 13+ with registered adult Create your own custom photo ornament! Participants will learn how to sublimate print a photo onto fabric and will then learn basic embroidery stitches and techniques to embellish and creatively adorn their favorite photos. Embellished photos will then be cut out, a ribbon hanger attached, and sewn together and stuffed like a small pillow to create a dimensional ornament.

This workshop is recommended for adults or families. Youth aged 16 or older may register independently. Youth 13 or older may register if accompanied by a registered adult. This workshop is led by Maker in Residence Mary Arnett-Delaney.
All of our workshops and classes are led by professional makers, artists, entrepreneurs, educators and community partners. We strive to provide high-quality and unique learning experiences. Registration will close up to 72 hours prior to the start of the event to provide time for instructors to prepare.
*Note: Registrations and email reminders will be processed through SimpleTix. For multi-session workshops, only the first class meeting will appear on your ticket.

Cost: $4/person, tickets available online only The Charles W. Brown Planetarium presents the 4th Annual Astronomy SLAM! Just 10 minutes a person—that is all the time Ball State students will get to share a piece of the universe with you in the Brown Planetarium. During this annual event, students will use planetarium visuals to help them present in the most creative way they can while competing for the title of Astronomy Slam Champion! Suitable for all ages 10+, all ages are welcome.
Cost: $4/person, tickets available online only

Program Information
- Runtime: Approximately 90 minutes total.
- A reception with light refreshments will be held immediately after dome presentations.
- We do our best to have doors open 30 minutes before show time.
Planetarium Information
- NOTE: Due to construction being done on the Cooper Science Complex, select parking and pathway access to the planetarium is blocked off. Plan to arrive early to safely navigate the area and arrive on time for the program. Visit our location and transportation webpage for up-to-date information.
- The planetarium is located on the west end of the Cooper Science Complex, at 2111 W. Riverside Ave., Muncie.
- Food, drinks, gum or candy are not allowed in the planetarium.
- Cellphones and any electronics that emit light must be silenced or turned off at the start of all programs. Please refrain from wearing light-up shoes to any planetarium programs.
- Children 17 years and under should be accompanied by an adult.
- We greatly appreciate your support to make our programs possible, and cash donations are accepted at the door.
