Gordy Fine Art & Framing Co.
224 E. Main
Gordy Fine Art and Framing is the area’s leading source for holiday gifts that are handmade locally. These include prints, jewelry, pottery, and tree ornaments. This year we are adding readymade photo frames with easel backs that complement our new photo printing and enlargement services. Prices mostly fall between $30 to $200. From whimsical “Funcie” signs and shirts to handcrafted mugs and plates. Paintings and prints capture Indiana’s landscapes in both traditional and contemporary styles. Most things in the gallery are also available on our Online Store at gordyframing.com/store
“The Holiday Shop offers great opportunities to find unique holiday gifts with a connection to the city we live in,” says Gordy owners Barbara and Carl Schafer. “Often our customers are shopping for friends who have moved away from Muncie, or for their grown children who need something special to remember their hometown. Useful things such as mugs, bowls, and t-shirts are popular since they are used every day.”
The show will run throughout the holiday season and new works will be continually added to replace things that are purchased and removed.
Gordy Fine Art and Framing Company promotes talented artists and offers expert design and craftsmanship for framing and displaying treasured family possessions and works of art. We also offer photo printing and enlargement services. Business hours: Monday through Friday, 9 am – 5:30 pm, Saturday, 9 am – 3 pm. Gordy Fine Art and Framing Company is located at 224 East Main Street, next door to Muncie Civic Theatre. For more information, visit www.gordyframing.com or call 765-284-8422.

GindhART (Debra Gindhart)
“The ART of #MeToo”: The movement heard around the world. We’ve all heard of women coming forward with their stories of mistreatment from men. Molestation is maturity in a moment a sort of soul murder. This problem, forbidden from conversation for so many years, stems from a variety of underlying factors at play. One in five women will be raped in her lifetime. Rape culture is prevalent in all communities worldwide. Women in power in the USA and Europe had the opportunity to spread their stories and combat the stigma of a woman standing up for herself. Just a century ago, the #MeToo movement would not have been possible.Local artist Debra Gindhart’s First Thursday exhibit “The ART of #MeToo” combines assemblage art and poetry.
Gindhart also created a new line of Green Glam Studio jewelry earrings, Royal Pussies. Hand knitted loop scarves are also featured. Meet the artist during First Thursday’s gallery walk. Second floor galleries, 5-8pm
Jill Palumbo
Jill Palumbo's Art will be set up on the second floor gallery of MADJAX from 5-8pm. Jill will have your gifting needs covered with handmade pens, earrings, mosaics and more. Please mask up and come out to enjoy the festivities and support your local artists.
