Muncie Young Professionals will be continuing its 2017 professional development schedule with its next ProLunch on Tuesday, February 21st. This ProLunch will focus on efficient communication in the workplace.
In today’s world of constant communications, it can be easy for information to get lost in the shuffle. Kelly Shrock, President of The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, will be providing attendees with practical tips to ensure that emails, voicemails, letters and more are clear, concise and action oriented. After this presentation, attendees should have an understanding of why writing and speaking clearly matters for young professionals who want to succeed in the workplace and advance their careers. They will also be exposed to practical ways to use business communication tools to move people to action and produce results. Finally, attendees will be given examples of how they can clean up their communications for maximum impact.
Space is limited for this ProLunch. Please RSVP by Tuesday, February 14th. The cost of this event is $15 and includes lunch. It will take place at the Ivy Tech Fisher Building Auditorium (345 S High Street). To make your reservation, visit the Muncie Young Professionals website at: muncieyoungprofessionals.com. Parking for this event is available on the street or in public lots in downtown Muncie. This ProLunch is sponsored by Accutech Systems.
ProLunches are held every other month from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm with a range of topics designed to help young professionals develop new personal and professional skills, become better informed about key community issues, how they can make an impact, and develop new contacts. ProLunch events begin with soft networking followed by speaker presentations and Q & A.
