Free Family Movies return to DWNTWN! Join us at Canan Commons for 4 fabulous movies and family preshow jubilees! Themed family activities will be provided before the movies each month. Canan Commons is located in the 500 Block of S. Walnut St. near the roundabout. Family preshow activities begin at 7:00pm. Movies begin at dusk (approximately 9:30pm).
Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs and bug spray. Vendors will be on site with light snacks.
June 27th - Muppets Most Wanted
Come dressed as your favorite Community Helper! Fireman, Policeman and K9, EMTs, Muncie Sanitary District, and many more will be onsite with vehicles and equipment to explore. Meet the Mayor! It takes so many kinds of helpers to make a community work: Chiropractors, Artists, Dog Groomers, Trolley drivers, military personnel, doctors, nurses, plumbers, librarian, arborists, lifeguards, heavy equipment operators, farmers, psychiatrists, dentists, chefs, and electricians. Meet them all! Kasey the Firedog, The Muncie Animal Shelter volunteers with pups to pet, rain barrel and recycling demo, activities and idea for how you can be a community helper too!
