Ball State "Out of Darkness Walk"

BALL STATE "OUT OF DARKNESS WALK" Join us in showing support by walking and contributing to the Ball State Out of the Darkness Campus Walk---In participating, you will be walking with thousands of students nationwide to raise money for AFSP's vital research and education programs to prevent suicide and save lives, increase national awareness about depression and suicide and provide support for survivors of suicide loss.

*Online registration closes at noon the day before the walk. However, anyone who would like to participate can register in person at the walk! Please know that walk donations are accepted until June 30th, 2012.
In the United States, a person dies by suicide every 15 minutes, claiming more than 36,000 lives each year. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for college students, and the third for youth ages 15-24, with adolescent depression -undiagnosed, untreated or both- as the number one cause.
The Out of the Darkness Campus Walks are 3-5 mile walks taking place in communities across the country, with the proceeds benefitting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). By walking in the Out of the Darkness Campus Walks, you will be walking with thousands of students nationwide to raise money for AFSP's vital research and education programs to prevent suicide and save lives, increase national awareness about depression and suicide and provide support for survivors of suicide loss.
