Did you know there are Zoroastrians among us, with a small congregation in Indianapolis and a Zoroastrian temple in Chicago? And did you know the Magi, who are said to have visited the Christ Child, were Zoroastrian priests?
On Monday, October 4th, the Muncie Interfaith Fellowship will sponsor a discussion of the Zoroastrian faith and influence it had in the ancient world.

Due to the large number of people we had at our last meeting, we will be holding this program in the Pittinger Student Center, room 310.

Want to learn about the world beyond Muncie? Join us at the Rinker Center for International Programs for a culture exchange! Culture exchanges are held every week on Wednesday in SC 102 from 12pm-1pm. Each week a different country is highlighted; presenters are typically natives that can offer an insider's look into the country and its culture. Attendees are welcome to bring a lunch to the presentation and are reminded to show respect and prevent distraction to presenters by arriving on time.
Join us Wednesday Ocotber 6th when Kwame Teye will present on Ghana. The Republic of Ghana is a small country located in West Africa. The country, formerly known as the Gold Coast during its colonial days, gained its independence from the United Kingdom in 1957. Ghana is a diverse country with a number of different ethnic groups and 47 different languages spoken throughout the country. Come learn more about this interesting country at Culture Exchange. Cost: $10 per student Ages: 6th grade to adults This workshop will focus on basic card magic, easy to do effects with everyday items found around the house, and effects that are easily made for just a few dollars and with minimal effort. Everyone should bring a deck of cards to the workshop.
This workshop is for 6th grade - adults.
The cost of this workshop is $10.

Cost: $10 per student Ages: 9th grade to adults. This workshop is for novices and experienced actors alike. The focus will be on the preparation and execution of monologues, as well as how to excel at cold readings. Participants should have at least one audition monologue prepared, and should bring in written copies of any other pieces they have used in the past, or are considering using in the future.
This workshop is for 9th grade - adults.
The cost of this workshop is $10.

In conjunction with United to End Genocide's call for a world wide "Day of Action" - we are having an informational meeting about Sudan (East Africa). Sudan is a very poor country - and it is very troubled. Millions of people left homeless years ago during the worst of the Darfur Genocide remain stranded in refugee camps. New troubles are arising (again) at the border with (now independent) South Sudan - and half a million civillians are already homeless there as a result of ongoing conflict.
