Put Yourself In Her Heels 2017 Community Walk

Put Yourself in Her Heels is the YWCA’s largest, annual event designed to raise awareness and show support for the YWCA’s residential program. For the event’s fifth anniversary, the community will join in on our mission and participate in a one-mile walk through downtown Muncie, physically putting community members into the shoes of women and children utilizing residential services at the YWCA. The walk exposes daily challenges experienced by women and children in need, as well as celebrates their successes. Participation in the walk is free, with a t-shirt and breakfast provided. Cost: $25 Ages: 4th grade to adult Coffee & Paints is returning and open to students in the 4th grade through adults. Attendees who are experienced artists or are completely new to painting will enjoy creating in this relaxed atmosphere. Registration is $25 per person and you can check out photos of featured paintings are available on Cornerstone Center for the Arts’ Facebook page.
- Card Printing Workshop 2pm to 5pm @ Book Arts Collaborative in Madjax Muncie 514 E Jackson St, Muncie, IN 47305
Cost: $50 Come learn how to make cards for any occasion! Participants will print 10-12 cards inside and out. Cards can have any message you want. Participants will learn how to set type and printer’s cuts, ink a press, and print cards.
No printing experience is necessary.
Cost: $50 includes all materials, equipment use, personable instruction, coffee, and your cards with envelopes.

After over 10 years in orbit around Saturn, the Cassini spacecraft will end its mission exploring Saturn on September 15, 2017 by purposefully entering the planet’s atmosphere. Before it’s destroyed it will send back information from that and other daring trips around Saturn. Come explore one of the most beautiful sights in our solar system in this production and afterwards learn about the most up-to-date information sent back during the final months of the Cassini mission.

Poley Lafarge, who drew the biggest crowd in the Muncie Three Trails Music Series' history last year, will return to our stage at Canan Commons in 2017 on Saturday, September 23 for another FREE show. Mr. Lafarge records for the leading American roots music label Rounder Records, and he is a two-time winner of Americana Album of the Year. His music is an ecletic mix of early jazz, hot swing, ragtime, country blues, folk, and Americana.
