 he Gathering Place provides a small intimate space for you and your guests
  to gather to celebrate all of life’s special moments. Our space sits wi
 thin the Historic Rose Court\, which was placed on the National Register o
 f Historic Places in 1984. The Gathering Place gives you 1\,600 sq. ft. of
  floor space\, including a prep kitchen and built-in bar/beverage area. Th

 ements with modern comforts to create a stylish space for you to host your

  Main\nGordy Fine Art and Framing is pleased to open a new exhibition of p
 hotographs by career photographer Ronn Brown.&nbsp\; The exhibition openin
 g party is free to the public on Thursday May 1 from 5 – 8 pm.&nbsp\; Re
 freshments will be served\, and the artist will be on hand to engage with 
 visitors. The show will remain on view until May 31. At 6:15 the artist wi
 ll give a brief presentation about his work and answer questions.&nbsp\;\n
 \nA native of East Central Indiana\, Mr. Brown was based in Los Angeles fo
 r over 20 years.&nbsp\; There he focused mainly on photographing musicians
 \, actors and models\, and often worked for producers in the film and musi
 c industries. This kind of photography requires superb technical skills in
  operating the camera and lights\, but he became highly sought after becau
 se of his bold imagination placing his subjects in inventive poses and dre
 ss.&nbsp\;\n\nSince moving back to Muncie in 2020\, he has established a s
 tudio on North Walnut St. and is very active continuing his work.&nbsp\; T
 his exhibition focuses on images that he has made since his return to Indi
 ana.&nbsp\;\n\nRonn is also a photo-historian and collector who recently c
 urated an exhibition of photographs called People and Places 1873 – 2000
 \, from the collection of the David Owsley Museum at Ball State.&nbsp\; Th
 e Gordy show coincides with that exhibition until it closes on May 23.&nbs
 p\;We encourage people who are interested in Ronn’s work to also visit t
 he Owsley and also to view an accompanying film made by the Ball State Dep
 artment of Media.\n\nBefore moving to Los Angeles in 1997\, he attended Ba
 ll State in the photojournalism and art departments.&nbsp\; He credits muc
 h of his career success to Jack’s Camera Shop in Downtown Muncie where h
 e taught lighting classes for 12 years.&nbsp\; There he refined his studio
  skills that made his eventual career one of many that were launched at Ja
 ck’s.&nbsp\;\n\nThe show will be on view with works for sale through May
  31.&nbsp\; Gordy Fine Art and Framing Company promotes talented artists a
 nd offers expert design and craftsmanship for framing and displaying treas

 ety of Indiana\, Ventures in Creativity\, Arts Illiana\, Will Vawter Annua
 l\, Wabash Valley Exhibition at Swope\, Northern Indiana Pastel Society\, 
 Indiana Heritage Arts\, Open Space &amp\; Minnetrista’s Annual Juried Sh
 ow\, among many others. Her art has appeared on the covers of several of h
 er poetry chapbooks\, and her art has appeared in several literary journal
 s\, recently UIndy’s Etchings&nbsp\;36.1\, she was the featured artist f
 or Last Stanza Poetry Journal\, Issue 3\, and has art in the story antholo
 gy\, Café Macabre II. Musselman is active in several art and writing orga
 nizations in Indiana\; she’s past president of Muncie Artists Guild\, wh
 ere she still serves on the board. Musselman is on the executive board of 
 Midwest Writers Workshop\, and she teaches writing of all stripes at Ivy T
 ech Community College\, Indianapolis\, University of Indianapolis\, E.B. B
 all Center\, and Indianapolis Writers Center.\n\nWork will be shown at the
