Ultimately\, I worked my way through Ball State's business coll ege and later was employed by Ball Corp. and Boyce Design Center\, where I met Jim Faulkner and was inspired by his watercolor landscapes. In midlif e\, I switched from sales and marketing to library science. Subsequently\, I worked in several Indiana public libraries. My passions include gardeni ng with native plants\, ecology\, geography\, and animals. I have rescued many animals and volunteered at several animal shelters. Our backyard is a wildlife habitat near the White River and the Cardinal Greenway\, where I enjoy walking and bicycling. After retiring\, I learned to paint with wat ercolors\, and recently\, to use colored pencils as a medium for the portr aits I enjoy creating\, working from my own photos.
