  (aka Mark Sawrie) exhibiting environmental portraits of individuals who
 ’ve braved his camera during the happenstance of “flaneuring” (not a
  word). Down the hall\, stop in and see Cassie Dunmyer's work\, featuring 
 original fine art and prints great for gifting.&nbsp\;Next door you can pe
 ruse the latest&nbsp\;treasures from fine art painter Kerry Shaw\, then vi
 sit&nbsp\;Dunckel Haus Photography to see their newest studio setup. And s
 top by Carrie Wright Silk on your way up or down the stairs to see Carrie'
 s newest self-made Japanese style silk painting tool in action\,&nbsp\;and
  get a first peek at a scale model of the massive art installation experie
 nce she is currently working toward bringing to life right here in Muncie!
 \n\nCornerstone Center for the Arts\n520 E. Main\nJoin us at Cornerstone a
 s we celebrate the work of&nbsp\;Debbie Shidler\, our featured gallery art
 ist for the month of August and shop from a variety of local vendors betwe
 en 5–8 pm. All events located on the 2nd Floor.&nbsp\;\n\nGordy Fine Art
  &amp\; Framing Co.&nbsp\;\n224 E. Main\nGordy Fine Art and Framing is pro
 ud to highlight the art of Aaron Nicholson who is a sculptor and a painter
  living in Muncie since 2012.&nbsp\; The paintings in this exhibition were
  made during his residency in Greece in January and February earlier this 
 year.&nbsp\; The opening party will be on First Thursday\, August 7\, from
  5-8pm.&nbsp\; The artist will be on hand.&nbsp\; Light refreshments will 
 be served\, and the public is invited to attend. At 6:15\, Nicholson will 
 speak about his work\n\nPrior to Gordy’s exhibition\, Nicholson is organ
 izing his 4th Iron Pour at the Fire Up Downtown event on August 2.&nbsp\; 
 In collaboration with Muncie Downtown Development Partnership\, Nicholson 
 is managing a program called Pedestrian Ironworks where artists will be en
 gaged to design manhole covers that will be placed in downtown Muncie.&nbs
 p\; At the Fire Up event\, Nicholson will invite people to carve their own
  manhole cover designs into sand molds and then they can watch him pour th
 e molten iron into the molds.&nbsp\; &nbsp\;Once they have cooled\, they w
 ill be available during Gordy’s opening party for participants to pick u
 p.&nbsp\;\n\nNicholson’s first cover made for the Pedestrian Ironworks p
 rogram has already been made and will be on display at the Iron Pour and i
 n the Gordy exhibition.&nbsp\; It will then be installed in its permanent 
 location on Walnut Street in time for ArtsWalk on October 2.&nbsp\;\n\nThe
  exhibition at Gordy will remain on view through November 1.\n\nGordy Fine
  Art and Framing Company promotes talented artists and offers expert desig
 n and craftsmanship for framing and displaying treasured family possession
 s and works of art. Summer Invitational&nbsp\;may also be viewed through t

 s Guild\nVarious locations\nThe Muncie Artists Guild's Artist of the Month
  for August 2025 is Karen Evans.&nbsp\;\n\nOver the years\, Karen's creati
 vity has taken several forms\, including cutting hair\, decorating cakes\,
  making candy\, painting wooden and ceramic ornaments and crafts\, taking 
 photographs\, managing flower gardens\, making silk flower arrangements\, 
 and decorating for holidays\, which included painting on windows at home a
 nd work. Karen's work will be on display at the following locations: Vera

 ndon Duran of Asana Bodyworks and Hailee Loar. &nbsp\;\n\nBrandon will&nbs
 p\;offer free short chair massage treatments. He specializes in deep tissu
 e massage therapy\, helping his&nbsp\;clients in rehabilitation\, progress
 ion in health\, postural assessment and overall&nbsp\;body&nbsp\;wellness.
 &nbsp\;\n\nHailee&nbsp\;works with watercolor\, acrylic\, and ink\, experi
 menting with various methods of display. Her stylized paintings and drawin
 gs inspire deeper contemplation within our natural environment and serve a
 s pensive reminders to approach the world with fresh curiosity. There will
