Community Artist Invitation “En plein air, indoors” 10 – noon & 1 – 3 p.m. Draw, paint, sketch ‘en plein air’, or write while surrounding yourself with beautiful orchids and other tropical plants. Sketches or finished works are invited to be hung in the Local Artists Rinard Orchid Greenhouse Exhibit, Nov. 3 – 27, 2017 Held at the Dr. Joe and Alice Rinard Orchid Greenhouse, located in Christy Woods on the Ball State University campus. With 2000 orchids, there is always something in bloom throughout the year.

Cost: $10 at office or on Eventbrite The Old West End Neighborhood Association with host the annual Historic Beech Grove Cemetery Tour on October 14th from 3:30pm to 7:30pm at Beech Grove Cemetery 1400 West Kilgore Ave. Learn more about this historic landmark and the fascinating figures from Muncie’s past as local historians take you on a walking tour of the old section of the cemetery. Tours run every 30 minutes. Refreshments will be available, as well as historic displays in the chapel. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the cemetery office or online at Eventbrite. Children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult. This event is family friendly.
Proceeds benefit Beech Grove Cemetery and neighborhood initiatives.
