SNAP benefits will be accepted by the mobile markets. In addition, WIC and senior farmers’ market checks and IU Health Bucks will be accepted by most vendors. Vendors will also accept cash and checks. These benefits go along with Open Door’s farmers’ market mission, which is to provide employees, patients, and community members with fresh and readily available produce and make it easier for everyone to have access to fresh fruits and vegetables in the community.

- Night of Hope 7pm to 8pm @ David Owsley Museum of Art, Ball State University 2021 W. Riverside Ave., Ball State University
Ball State University Dance Marathon’s third annual Night of Hope is a candlelight vigil hosted on Ball State University’s beautiful Quad in front of the David Owsley Museum of Art. During this event, participants will join BSUDM, BSU faculty and students, and Muncie community members in honoring and remembering the children and families impacted by Riley Hospital for Children. This solemn event allows participants to join BSUDM in celebrating hope and healing by listening to several of our Riley Families share their stories.
- Good Stand-up Comedy with Dan Alten 9pm to 12:42pm @ Be Here Now 505 N. Dill
Dan Alten does stand up comedy for a "living". Based out of Louisville, he regularly tours the South and Midwest with his unique brand of intelligently-dumb surreal comedy, playing basements, backyards, bars, theaters, museums, galleries, punk houses, pizza places, street corners, and even comedy clubs. He has worked at Go Bananas in Cincinnati, headlined Star Bar in Atlanta, and was a featured performer on the Birmingham Comedy Festival. He has opened for Kyle Kinane, Sean Patton, rapper Open Mike Eagle, Kurt Braunholer, underground TV icon David Leiber Hart, Stewart Huff, Joe List, punk band Boner City, and Dave Waite.
Dan runs a DIY label called LAFF Fest 2014 that produces shows and records split CDS, they have sold over 600 copies of their first two releases. He also co-holds the Guinness World Record for performing on the Longest Stand-up Comedy Show, and he has a Bachelor's degree in Folklore and Ethnomusicology from Indiana University, and he grows his own tomatoes and cilantro.
He will be in town next Wednesday July 27th to headline Be Here Now at 9:30pm. $3 at the door, 18 and up.
